Incenter Cares

Driven by a vision to spread human kindness, and a mission to strengthen our communities, enrich lives, and inspire caring.

Incenter Cares, the philanthropic and charitable arm of Incenter, leverages resources to invest in value-driven programs and charitable activities. This is possible through dynamic partnerships with nonprofits that unite our people to work together for a greater impact in local communities throughout the nation.

Community Impact Grants

Building strong communities through grantmaking to nonprofits in the three following focus areas:



Serving the emerging and long-term needs of our nation’s veterans and their families. In an effort to recognize the sacrifices they and their loved ones have made on behalf of our country, we proudly support active military personnel, veterans, and their families on a local level. We provide resources to nonprofit veteran’s service organizations whose programs connect veterans and their families facing hardships to an array of critical human services.

Empowering our youth to become compassionate and responsible members of society. The future drivers of change for the development and stability of our country are today’s youth. We support life-enhancing programs that engage youth within their communities, schools, social groups, and families, that are positive and constructive to the development of their character and enable all young people to reach their full potential.

Enhancing access to basic needs for underserved individuals and families. Focusing on human services helps meet basic human needs by focusing on prevention as well as remediation of problems. We are committed to improving the overall quality of life for individuals and families at their point of most urgent need. To achieve this, we are engaged in numerous initiatives with nonprofits whose programs and services work to prevent or end homelessness.

Employee Assistance Fund

Incenter takes pride in its staff – their energy and skills are key in helping to fulfill our mission to strengthen our communities, enrich lives, and inspire caring. We recognize that employees may experience hardships that require emergency financial assistance. The Incenter Cares Employee Assistance Fund (EAF) is a program designed to support our valued staff in times of unexpected financial hardship. A minimum of 25 percent of all employee and company contributions are allocated towards our EAF.

Team Member Volunteering

We created the Team Member Volunteer Program to provide Incenter employees the opportunity be a part of the transformative power of donating their time and energy toward charitable causes through volunteerism. From organizing libraries, and providing food to the hungry, to walking rescue dogs, we encourage our team members to choose activities that match their interests.


Employee Giving and Fundraising

Employees can voluntarily donate to Cares through payroll deductions or individual contributions. 75 percent of employee and corporate contributions are distributed amongst regions to nonprofits through Community Impact Grantmaking. The remaining 25 percent is reinvested into the welfare of Incenter employees across the nation through the Employee Assistance Fund. Employees can click here to donate.

Outside of employee giving, we invite others within our community to donate directly to Incenter Cares. 100 percent of all contributions are applied directly to our Community Impact Grants. If you would like to become a community partner, click here to donate.


Our Team


Ashley Pruitt, Program Director

There is nothing quite like the nonprofit sector. I feel incredibly fortunate that I get to make a positive difference each and every day of the week. Throughout the course of my career, I’ve worked at Susan G. Komen, the University of Central Florida, and United Way. I’m currently responsible for the complete oversight of Incenter Cares, all while strengthening partnerships within the community through the promotion and presentation of the vital programs that live within the organization. I am absolutely honored to be a part of the team leading numerous strategic philanthropic initiatives with Cares, and employees of Incenter. I earned both my bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, and Master’s in Nonprofit Management from the University of Central Florida (Go Knights)! I’m a native Floridian, and currently live in Tampa, Florida with my two rescue mutts.

Jennifer Chalmers, President

Gift giving is an art form; whether complex or simple it’s thoughtful action without expecting anything in return. From an early age, gift giving brought me great joy and a meaningful connection to others. The opportunity to establish and launch Cares nonprofit presented a way to give to those in need and in turn inspire caring and kindness – a gift that keeps on giving. As President of the Board of Cares, I have the privilege of leading and collaborating with our amazing group of employee volunteers to grow our vision to spread human kindness. 

My professional life has been entirely within the lending industry, and as Sr. Account Executive for Incenter Appraisal Management I support our lending partners’ businesses through our valuation products and services. I love my work and my company, and it’s rewarding to make new connections and foster existing relationships. I am fortunate to work for a company that prioritizes philanthropy, and it has been an honor to help weave the magic of giving into the fabric of our work lives. 

In my other hours, you’ll find me at home in Portland, Oregon staying active and busy with my husband and two kiddos! 

David Townsend, Chairman

David Townsend is President and CEO of Agents National Title Insurance Co., a title insurance underwriter based in Columbia, Missouri. Agents National Title Insurance was founded to meet the needs of independent title agents.  In February of 2018, Agents National was acquired by Incenter, a Blackstone portfolio company. 

Mr. Townsend is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Law and Drury University and has many years of experience in the areas of real estate and title law. He teaches Title Insurance Practice at the University of Missouri School of Law and is a speaker for the American Land Title Association, Mortgage Bankers Association, October Research Seminars and other continuing education seminars. He is a current member of the American Land Title Association’s Board of Governors and the Chairman of the Title Industry Political Action Committee.  

Townsend is the author of the Missouri Bar Insurance Practice Series: “Title Insurance” and the Missouri Bar Journal article “Mechanics Lien Law: Section 429.016 establishes New Notice Requirements.”  Named the Missouri Land Title Young Title Professional for 2009, he was awarded the National Title Professional designation in 2013 by the American Land Title Association. He is married to Kerry Townsend, has one daughter, Blair and one son, Charlie, and lives in Columbia, Missouri.
