How does ILS protect my personal information?

ILS protects personal information by instituting reasonable security safeguards against loss, theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.  Personal information will not be transmitted through unsecured channels including email and instant messaging.  We have taken the necessary precautions to be in compliance with the relevant provisions of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) and the California Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

How does ILS collect my personal information?

We collect your personal information when you register a username and when you complete an application or any part of an application.  We also collect personal information from others, such as credit bureaus and other companies.

Why can’t I limit all sharing?

Federal law gives you the right to limit only:

  • Sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes
  • Sharing for affiliates’ marketing
  • Sharing for nonaffiliates’ marketing

 

ILS does not share personal information in these fashions.

How does ILS respond to “do not track” signals?

ILS does not respond to “do not track” signals, but is committed to minimizing the information collected from your visit.  Consumers have the ability to prevent tracking by discontinuing use of the ILS website.
